Ursa Minor opened their current bakehouse space at the end of January 2017, offering high quality teas & coffees alongside their small batch pastries & sweet bakes as well as seasonal lunch specials.
They use like-minded suppliers who have a passion for their product, aiming to use high quality, organic, local, seasonal produce.
Ursa Minor Bakehouse is a member of the International Économusée Network, which is designed to showcase traditional crafts and help artisans tell their story. You can visit the bakehouse and learn a little about what Ursa Minor do, how they do it and why by following the storyboards downstairs. Or you can book in for one of their popular sourdough workshops where the team will explain how they make their bread in more detail.
Ursa Minor use traditional techniques, hand moulding their loaves & proving them in floured baskets. Baking them directly on the oven floor to help create a delicious crust. The team invest time and skill to produce real, honest bread that smells, looks and tastes amazing!
