Member Information

Originally built in 1857, Quilly House was owned by the Estate of Sir Hervey JW Bruce, owner of the Mussenden Temple Demesne, and has been passed down the years to the Kane Family.

In 2009 the property passed to Richard and Leona Kane (owners of Broighter Gold Rapeseed Oil) who have lovingly restored the beautiful Georgian house and brought it back to life, keeping the original classic manor house features.

Set with a large garden, quirky features, maids’ staircase, pantry, scullery, and a large kitchen.

The property has a large lawn to the side, back yard, and an extensive area that will eventually be landscaped. With beautiful old tress, perfect for children to play in or just sit and listen to the wildlife around.

Inside the house itself the main drawing room with its deep piled carpet, stove and TV is perfect for relaxing in after a busy day.

The small snug room will keep everyone entertained with a TV, Nintendo/games, games table with selection of board games and puzzles and some outdoor games.

Upstairs there are five bedrooms which sleep up to 11 guests. Like all old houses, there are no ensuites. Instead there is one main bathroom, and an additional shower and sink area, which was the old maid’s room.

Outdoors, there is a stoned patio area, with picnic bench, and garden area. Outdoor camping seats and picnic basket area also available for guests to use.

Quilly House is very homely with a warm atmosphere so book a stay and come and enjoy with your family and friends.
