With a 15-year career in technology development behind her, Ann’s journey took a bit of a twist in 2017, when a new health condition led to Ann re-evaluating her lifestyle in order for her to return to optimum health.
Ann discovered her love of Kombucha, a fermented tea beverage, which is made by adding a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast to a solution of tea and sugar.
The product is unpasteurised, ensuring that the healthy yeast and bacteria remain in the bottled product which can lead to a happy and healthy gut.
Ann carefully brews, bottles and tests her Kombucha range and is constantly identifying new flavours and combinations, as well as developing her microbial and chemical knowledge of Nua Kombucha.
The Rooibos is sourced directly from a farm in Clanwilliam, Western Cape, South Africa and the added flavours are sourced locally from farm shops in Northern Ireland.
At present, the Nua Kombucha range of flavours includes Slemish Beetroot, Elderberry, Original, Green Tea & Rooibos, Cardamom & Ginger, Chilli & Ginger, in addition to a range of seasonal flavours.
