Frank and Rachel, founders of Fidela Coffee Roasters, began their coffee journey several years ago in Colombia. After a visit to Frank’s family coffee farms in the well known coffee region Narino they saw amazing opportunities to work alongside his family, to find new and exciting prospects for their coffee.
In 2016 they started working with four family members, to improve their processes at farm level. They were then given the first unforgettable opportunity to directly export their coffee to Holland. They installed a coffee laboratory in Nariño, Colombia which has enabled them to bring more farmers. And in 2019 Frank and Rachel moved back home to the North Coast of Ireland and set up Fidela Coffee Roasters
Education is a key part of their ethos, not only do they educate the farmers back in Colombia but they also enjoy educating their coffee drinkers too. Visitors to the roastery will be shown the story behind the coffee and might even roast fresh coffee on site when they visit. Fidela regularly run home brew and home espresso classes for you to further enhance your knowledge of all things coffee.
