JJ & Marie opened the doors to guests in July 1995 with 5 rooms on offer. With extensive renovations taking place at different stages they now have 14 well- proportioned and stylish bedrooms available at Cul-Erg House & Kitchen.
Their son James, who has a passion for providing excellent customer service and a love of cooking, is also now involved in running the family business which has allowed them the opportunity to expand the services already offer and in 2021 the family were delighted to be able to offer guests the opportunity to also dine during the day. ‘The Kitchen’ at Cul-Erg opens after Breakfast until 4pm offering snacks, lunches as well as morning/afternoon tea and coffee with a selection of scones and patisserie. All their produce is locally sourced and homemade with hot dishes being cooked to order.
Guests at the B&B can choose from deluxe and superior stylish double, twin bedded or single rooms, some of which are located on the ground floor. All rooms have tea / coffee making facilities.
There is a spacious dining room to enjoy breakfast with an extensive menu to choose from. Gathering her ingredients daily, Marie serves up both a continental style buffet breakfast with home made beads, fresh natural yogurts, cereals and freshly prepared seasonal fruit salad as well a selection of hot dishes straight from the oven seasoned with her home grown herbs.
Guests can enjoy picturesque coastal walks, restaurants and bars in the nearby town centre. Cul-Erg House is also close to a host of visitor attractions, including world famous golf courses, the Giants Causeway, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery and the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge to name but a few, which are all waiting to be explored and enjoyed. Then, back at the B&B relax & unwind in the Reception/Lounge with the warmth of an open fire after a busy day’s sightseeing. There is also a drying room and storage for golfers and walkers.
