Taste Causeway Producers are Finalists at this year's Irish Food Awards

Blas na hÉireann, Irish Food Awards are the biggest competition for quality Irish produce on the island of Ireland.

The annual awards celebrate and reward the very best tasting Irish food and drink products, and the passionate, driven producers who make them.

The Blas na hÉireann awards will be presented on 4th October.

 “Making it as a finalist is a huge achievement and one to be very proud of,” says Artie Clifford, Chairperson and founder of Blas na hÉireann. “The competition ramps up year on year, meaning those producers who are short-listed as finalists really are the crème de la crème of Irish food and drink."

The following Taste Causeway Producers have made it through to the finals this year. 

Broighter Gold  

Finalist - Lemon Infused Rapeseed Oil

Broighter Gold produce a range of multi award winning rapeseed oils and infused rapeseed oils from their family farm outside Limavady.  Their infused range is a great addition to any kitchen.

Chestnutt’s Farm

Finalist - Greek Yoghurt

The Chestnutt Family have been been farming on their land near the coastal town of Portrush since 1913. Their luxurious, thick and creamy Greek style yogurt is made within their production unit on the farm from their own non homogenised milk and a tiny bit of culture.

Dundarave Estate 

Finalists - Apple Cider Vinegar, Vanilla Fudge

Dundarave Estate has a fine history of producing jams and chutneys. The team grow the freshest and finest quality ingredients which are used to produce the highest quality products.

Dunluce Distillery  

Finalist - La Riva Nata Caffe

Dunluce Distillery, based in the scenic, coastal village of Portballintrae, pride themselves on creating hand crafted spirits from the finest botanicals with love and care.

Glens of Antrim Distillery  

Finalists - Lir Red Crest

Surrounded by nature and steeped in history, there could be no better setting to create whiskey than amongst the mountains and valleys in the Glens of Antrim overlooking the Irish Sea  

Morelli’s Ice Cream  

Finalists - Mango Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet, Cherry Frozen Yoghurt, Mango & Passion Fruit Yoghurt

The Morelli family have been making their multi award winning ice cream on the north coast of Ireland since 1911 producing over fifty flavours of scoop ice cream, frozen yogurt & sorbet at their factory in Coleraine.
